WILHOIT, AZ - Mary Elizabeth (Doty) Western, 47, of Wilhoit, Arizona transitioned into eternal peace at 6:50 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2022, at Surprise Health and Rehabilitation in Surprise, Arizona. MaryBeth was born on August 18,1975, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Dale and the late Deborah Doty. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1993, and Vincennes University in 1996 with a degree in Theater Arts. On June 3, 2017, she married the love of her life, Saben Western. Together they adopted 4 cats, BooBoo, Wasabi, Kaska, Rajah, and a dog named Ellie. She lived in Chicago for 5 years where she was in the cast of several off-Broadway shows, while traveling with her troupe to perform in other cities. MaryBeth moved to Phoenix, Arizona and received her certification as a Radiology Technologist at Apollo College in 2009. She was currently pursuing her master’s degree as a Radiologist Assistant. She was employed at The Yavapai Regional Medical Center for the past 13 Years as a Radiographer. MaryBeth enjoyed hiking, running, camping, and volunteering. She was previously a Girl Scout leader and Big Sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister program. She loved music and had a voice like an angel as well as being talented on the piano. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Survivors include her husband, Saben Western of Wilhoit, Arizona; dad, Dale Doty of Greenfield, Indiana; brother, John (Jenna) Doty of Morristown, Indiana; nephew, Andrew Doty and niece, Grace Doty both of Morristown; nieces, Amanda (Luke) Tipton, Carly Elders, Grace Elders, all of Indianapolis; uncles, Kenneth (Charlene) Cassidy, David (Monica) Doty, and Doug (Rose) Doty; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah Doty; paternal grandparents, John and Mildred Doty; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Birdie Cassidy; and aunt, Malinda Ross. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140 on November 11, 2022 at noon. Calling hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a repast for family and friends immediately after the service. Chaplain Susann Estle will be officiating. An additional service will be held in Arizona in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, 2502 N.
