Christine Marcum

Christine Elena (Duffy) Marcum, age 48, of Greenfield, IN passed away on Wednesday, December 21st at Indiana University Medical Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on January 23, 1974 in Springfield, Massachusetts to James L. and Theresa (Tetrault) Duffy. She attended Ludlow High School in Ludlow, Massachusetts before moving to Greenfield, Indiana where she graduated from Eastern Hancock High School in 1991. She graduated from Professional Careers Institute in 1992 with a degree in Office Administration and attended Ivy Tech Community College. She employed in Casey’s General Stores in IN and as a bookkeeper at Hoosier Heartland Travel Plaza in New Lisbon, Indiana. On July 7, 2021 she married Justin Marcum. Chrissie loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, reading, listening to music, and collecting John Deere memorabilia. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Chrissie is survived by her son Jacob W. Polston of New Castle, IN; her husband Justin; her brother Jarod Soucie of Hawaii; father James L. (Roberta A.) Duffy; sister Caitlin A. Duffy, of Ludlow, Massachusetts; Uncle Roger A. (Natasha) Duffy and cousin Amy Duffy of Belchertown, Massachusetts; uncle Martin J. and aunt Mary L. Greenan of Greenfield, IN; aunt Elena M. Pritsch (Jerry); cousins Michele Greenan, Andrea Neuffer (Greenan), Sharron (Beauregard) Cayere, Brian Beauregard, Christopher Plaaten, Michelle Plaaten, as well as many beloved friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother Theresa Anne (Tetrault) Soucie; her maternal grandparents Raymond O. and Dorothy L. Tetrault; her paternal grandparents Raymond T. and Claire Duffy; her aunt Martha J. Sikes. A Celebration of Life for Chrissie will be held on Monday at 6 pm, January 23 at ‘Lizabuth Ann’s Kitchen, 244 West Main St. in Greenfield Indiana. Friends are encouraged to gather and share their memories. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. Interment will take place at a later date.
