Rebecca Rehfuss

April 10, 1954 - March 12, 2022

GREENFIELD – Rebecca Ann (Meade) Rehfuss, age 67, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at her home. Born on April 10, 1954, in McLeansboro, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lucille Myrtle (Smith) Meade and Charles Prince Meade. She graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1972. Rebecca married Steven Donald Rehfuss in Greenfield on October 27, 1979. She worked for American Senior Communities as an LPN for over 20 years before retiring in March of 2020. She was a member of the Hancock County Antique Tractor Collectors. In her free time, she enjoyed camping and gardening. Rebecca was also an avid reader and Harry Potter fan. She loved dogs, especially her favorite cocker spaniels. She cherished time spent with her family and liked finding out about their ancestry. Rebecca was the hub of her family, a caretaker and a giver. She loved unconditionally and was a mother figure to many. Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Steven Rehfuss; children, Andy Floyd, Steven Rehfuss, Jr. (Ashley), Elizabeth Gray (Nathan Passmore); grandchildren, Alli Horton, Reagan Horton, Katelyn Horton, Sylus Gray, Gwendolyn Floyd, and Sadie Rehfuss; brother, Gary Wayne Meade (Karen); sisters-in-law, Sandra Meade and Alicia Meade. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Charles Leroy Meade and Phillip Larry Meade. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Church 52, 8220 Brookville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46239. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Park Cemetery will take place on a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
