Mildred Medearis

Mildred R. (Swenson) Medearis, age 101, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. She was born in Dumont, Texas on September 2, 1919 to Theodore and Mary Lee (Foster) Swenson. She graduated from Hale Center High School and later attended/graduated from Texas Christian University. She spent the majority of her career at the former L.S. Ayers in Indianapolis for nearly 25+ years. Mildred enjoyed cooking, reading, and flower gardening. She is survived by her son, Robert (Anne) Medearis; daughter, Linda (Bob) Perry; sister, Mary Adele; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Lynn Wolfe; son-in-law, Thomas Wolf; and brother, Olof Swenson. No services will be held at this time. Interment will take place at Philadelphia Church Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
