Mike Wieneke

GREENFIELD - Mike Wieneke, age 72, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 10, 1952 to Sylvester Albert Jr. and Kathryn Louise (Page) Wieneke. He graduated from Howe High School in 1971. He married Theresa Lynn (Sadowicz) on September 2, 1972 in Indianapolis, Indiana. They were married for over fifty wonderful years, and he dedicated his life to taking care of her. For more than fifteen years, Mike was the proud owner of Window and Door Services in Greenfield, Indiana. In his youth he was the captain of the championship football team at Howe High School and was the defensive tackle. Mike was an avid woodworker, and he also enjoyed collecting model trains. He would take train rides whenever he had the opportunity. Above all, Mike loved sipping a cup of coffee and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Wieneke of Greenfield, Indiana; children, Kimberly Dawn (Jeff) Willett of Greenfield, Indiana and Kelly (Kenneth) Scott of Greenfield, Indiana; siblings, Steve (Judy) Wieneke of Michigan, Cheryl Bourland-Hoy of Greenfield, Indiana, Lori (Ray) Farris of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Julie Kusma of Scotland; five grandchildren, Makayla and Michael Anderson, Zachary, Mackenzie, and Caden Willett; three great-grandchildren, Autumn, Vincent, and Victor; nephews, Brian, Alex, and Stephen; and nieces, Treanna, Kyaleia, Shanna, and Amanda. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester Jr. and Kathryn Wieneke; brother-in-law, Matt Hoy; and nephew, Michael Lee Bourland. A Celebration of Life to honor Mike’s memory and giving spirit will be announced at a later date.
