Tristan M. Bustos / Tristyn St. Clair

INDIANAPOLIS – Tristan M. Bustos, age 24, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at their residence. They were born in Indianapolis on May 1, 1999, to Oscar Bustos and Amy (Collins) Nochebuena. They graduated from Perry Meridian High School in 2017. They attended University of Indianapolis and studied Music Education. Tristan was well-known as Tristyn St. Clair and was a member of the Haus of St. Clair. Tristyn had a vast history of theatre and drag performances including Footlite Musicals, the Indy Drag Theatre, and was also known for their performances at Greg’s Our Place, Downtown Olly’s, Almost Famous, and White Rabit Cabaret, among others. Tristyn’s headline performances included Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, and The Little Mermaid. Tristyn found inspiration for life through their love of Taylor Swift and could be said to be an original “Swiftie.” Tristyn was a singer and songwriter, and enjoyed playing several musical instruments including the piano, keyboard, ukelele, and guitar. They had a love for fashion, makeup, and were extremely talented at creating their own costumes for performances. Tristyn was the true definition of a “fabulous fashionista”. Tristyn is survived by their mom, Amy Nochebuena; siblings, Aidan, Jesus, Davoni, and Alexa; longtime love and friend, Levi; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and their beloved cats, Allegra, Bella, and Aggie. Tristyn was preceded in death by their mima, Julie Raines, and baby cousin, Kathy. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Indiana Landmarks Center Grand Hall, 1201 Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Celebrant Alex Adams will be officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
