Pamela Logsdon

GREENFIELD – Pamela Jean Logsdon of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away at the home on July 30, 2024, after a 3-month battle with kidney failure. She touched many lives through her kind spirit, grace, friendship, outgoing personality, and artistic talents. Pam was born March 15, 1950, in Miami, FL to Bob and Betty Warden. She graduated from the University of West Florida in 1972 with a Bachelors in Education. She married her college sweetheart, Ralph Logsdon, on July 22, 1972, and they recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary. Pam’s daughter, Amanda, was her ultimate passion, and she dedicated herself to being the best mother possible. Pam and Ralph moved the family from Florida to Emporia, KS in 1983. After being a devoted stay-at-home mom while her daughter was in grade school, she worked at Emporia High School from 1991-1995 as a paraprofessional, followed by a brief stint as a book editor, and then as a church secretary for The First Congregational Church from 1998-2010. Pam was unbelievably talented, and her creativity was unbound when designing church or school bulletin boards, sewing dance costumes, planning legendary holiday and block parties, or hand painting wood crafts. She was always a room mother for her daughter’s classes (and even her workplaces later in life), and Pam’s special treats and party favors are sure to be remembered. In Emporia during the 1980-90s, she also found joy in volunteering for the Social Service Club and the Pink Ladies at Newman Hospital. Pam and Ralph moved to Greenfield, Indiana in 2015 to be near Amanda. Never one for wild adventures or to wish for more than she had, her perfect evening was spent at the home playing cards with her family. Pam was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Amanda; sister, Debbie (Victor); sister-in-law, Diane; two nieces; several cousins; and her treasured cat, Butterscotch. As we say goodbye to Pam, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Cremation is planned and services will be private.
