Michelle Imel

GREENFIELD – Michelle Christine Imel (Holtel), age 40, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2026. Michelle was born in Indianapolis on May 27, 1985. She graduated from New Palestine High school and after graduating completed a course in cosmetology. Michelle also attended Ivy Tech and Indiana University at Indianapolis. Michelle was married to Joshua Imel for the past 17 years. Michelle has three beautiful children, Todd Tabor, Kylie Imel, and Parker Imel. Parker, born many years after Todd and Kylie, was a blessing that filled Michelle’s heart with joy. She truly cherished and loved her family. Michelle had a very energetic, outgoing personality and never knew a stranger. When she faced adversity in her life, she readily accepted the challenge and made the best of the situation. She truly loved helping others and would go out of her way to help someone in need. She also had a special love for animals. Michelle was employed by Speedway and Tuscan Table in Greenfield, often working double shifts to help support her family. Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Joshua; her children, Todd, Kylie, and Parker; her parents, Jaclyn and James Holtel of New Palestine, IN; her brother, Joseph (Elizabeth) Holtel of Carmel, IN; and her mother- and father-in-law, Julie and Wally Hall of Greenfield, IN. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Tyler Hall; and sister-in-law, Jessica Imel, along with an exceptionally large and loving extended family. Michelle’s passing has left a hole in our hearts that will never heal, but we hold dear the wonderful memories of our time with her, which was cut far too short. She will live on in the lives of her three beloved children. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St. Indianapolis, IN 46219. Fr. Oscar Rvas will preside.
