Linda Rash

INDIANAPOLIS – Linda J. (Osborn) Rash, age 70, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis on October 13, 1952 to Mary (Hendrixson) and Kenneth Osborn. She was a 1971 graduate of Arlington High School and received her degree in nursing from IUPUI in 1984. On September 3, 1977, Linda married Paul Kenneth Rash in Lawrence. Throughout her career, she held various accounting and nursing roles. She loved beautiful flowers, decorating, tea parties, holiday family dinners and playing the accordion and organ. She visited 7 European countries in her younger years and in later years, along with Ken, was privileged to tour WWII Diesel Subs and started engine #3 and #4 for a memorial service in Muskegon, Michigan in the USS Silversides. Linda also toured many U.S. Navy Fast Attack Subs sitting in the water at ports and seen 5 Trident Boomer Subs at U.S. Submarine base in Kingsbay, Georgia. The U.S. Navy dinners, conventions and parades brought many happy memories. She was a member of the WWII Submarines Veterans Wives Indiana Chapter. Later years, she gave loving home nursing care to her mom, dad, and husband. She was baptized in Jesus name and attended Faith Apostolic Church in Greenfield. A woman of strong faith and prayerful life, she leaves this world for a better place, where there will be no more tears, grief, pain or sorrow. Linda is survived by her siblings, Judith Ann (Charles) Chambers of Naples, FL, Kenneth Duane (Sande) Osborn of Gulf Shores, AL, Donna Kay (Gordon) Gillespie of Hillsboro, AL, Randall Lee Osborn of Orange Beach, AL, and Gail Elaine (Lloyd) Dean of Fleming Island, FL; and many special nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Kenneth; husband, Ken; and infant brother, Richard E. Osborn. Private family services are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
