Jared Wright

GREENFIELD – Jared Michael Wright, age 40, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his home. He was born in Indianapolis on September 13, 1982 to Shaun A. Wright and Lori J. (Willis) Hoppes. He graduated from Eastern Hancock High School with the class of 2001. Jared owned and operated Wright One Painting. He was a strong man of faith and was a member of Messianic Sha’arey Yeshua Congregation. Jared enjoyed spending time kayaking, canoeing and gaming. He loved all things sci-fi, including Star Wars, Star Trek and Lord of the Rings. No matter where he was or what he was doing, he was usually singing. Something he had done since he was a little boy. Jared was the fire and soul of his family and had a great sense of humor. Above everything else, he cherished spending time with his family. Jared is survived by his sons, Jaden Allen Wright of Shirley and Colin Leviticus (Wright) Tuttle of Greenfield; mother, Lori Hoppes (Dennis) of Greenfield; father, Shaun Wright of Maryland; siblings, James Mayhew (Tuesday) Mayhew of Greenfield, Mark Hoppes of Lima, OH, Tara Evans (Josh) of Wilkinson and Amy Pursley of Spiceland; paternal grandmother, Norma Wright of Maryland; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert & Beverly Willis; and paternal grandfather, Robert Wright. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at the mortuary on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Rabbi Jeff Adler will be officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
