Earl "Keith" Cline

GREENFIELD – Earl “Keith” Cline, age 74, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Beech Grove, IN on January 28, 1952, to Earl and Mary (Klein) Cline. Earl married Sandra (Maki) on November 24, 1984, in Indianapolis. From the time he was young, Earl was always active. He excelled at sports throughout his younger years and continued to stay involved as he got older. One of the many memories he cherished was playing in a softball league where their team traveled to Canada to compete in an annual Canadian tournament. Earl built a career as a Stagehand with IATSE Local 30 and worked at McGuire Scenic. He was a highly skilled welder whose craftsmanship helped bring ideas to life. Throughout the years, he helped create remarkable art and props used in theatrical productions, concerts, and sporting events, leaving his mark behind the scenes in ways many people experienced without even realizing it. Earl lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and a deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be remembered for his strength, creativity, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. Later in life, golf became one of Earl's passions. What started as time spent on the course with his father-in-law, Denha Maki, grew into something far more than just a game. The group that carried on Denha's love for golf became known as "The East Side Tour," a tradition that has lasted for more than 30 years. Today, that tradition continues thanks to his brother-in-law, Mark Smith, and the friendships that were built along the way. Earl is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra Cline; his daughters, Heather (Keith) West and Rachel Coffel; his brother, Mark (Melissa) Cline; daughter-in-law, Brenda Cline; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary Cline; his brothers, Mike Cline and Jeff Cline; his son, Brian Cline; his granddaughter, Logann Coffee; and his son-in-law, Aaron Coffel. Earl will be remembered as a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and valued family above all else. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, dedication, and love that will continue to live on through everyone who knew him. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
