Juanita Stillings

December 16, 1938 - January 3, 2021

CARTHAGE – Juanita Lucille (Ring) Stillings, age 82, of Carthage, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rushville. She was born in Conneaut, Ohio on December 16, 1938 to Lewis A. and Mable Louise (Clark) Ring. Juanita married John F. Stillings Jr. She was the housekeeper at Super 8 Motel in Greenfield for many years. Juanita attended Brandywine Community Church. She enjoyed reading, organizing, decorating, scrapbooking, and drawing. Juanita loved playing with her dog and cat and watching her grandchildren. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Cynthia E. Griffith of Greenfield, Michelle D. Skroh of Greenfield, and Christina L. Pope of Carthage; nine grandchildren, Tim Griffith, Valerie Griffith, Jeremy Griffith, Zachary Guzman, Brandon Guzman, Chelsea Guzman, Dylan Wagoner, Tayla Freeman, and Brittney Boden; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Daniel Ring of Tennessee, George Ring of Texas, and Tim Ring of Ohio; sisters, Loretta Brown of Tennessee and Rebecca Holstein of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mabel Ring; husband, John Stillings; and a brother, Paul Ring. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
