Gregory “ Greg ” Urbanski

December 20, 1952 - February 10, 2022

Indianapolis - Gregory “Greg” Paul Urbanski, age 69, of Indianapolis, passed away February 10, 2022. He was born in South Bend on December 20, 1952 to Edward and Rita (Baranowski) Urbanski. He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1971. Mr. Urbanski received his Bachelor of Science from Butler University in 1975. He married Connie A. (Katlun) Urbanski on June 23, 1973. He worked for B.B. Kirkbride as a Controller. Greg also worked for the American Lung Association as the director of human resources. Mr. Urbanski enjoyed all sports, and would watch them in his media room with his two huge TV’s and big leather chair. Some of his fondest memories came from family and friends. Bowling, golf, poker, Indy 500 races, swimming with the boys on the weekends, and going to Drew and Dustin’s sporting events were just a small number of things Greg loved to do. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Urbanski of Indianapolis; sons, Andrew (Madenna) Urbanski and Dustin Urbanski; brothers, Thomas Urbanski, Mark Urbanski, Brian Urbanski, and Christopher Urbanski; sister, Paula Urbanski; and granddaughter, Eugenia M. Urbanski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rita. The family is planning a memorial to celebrate Greg’s life in May because it was his favorite month. He attended the Indy 500 25 years in a row with his friends and family. His wish was to have his friends and family gather to remember all the good times and share all the fun stories over the years.
