Bonnie Priest

GREENFIELD – Bonnie W. (Wolf) Priest, age 89, of Greenfield, passed away at her home with family by her side on Saturday, September 18, 2021. She was born in Cross Plains, Indiana on August 15, 1932 to Russell and Garnett (Liggett) Wolf. Bonnie graduated from Cross Plains High School in 1950, and she married Jim Priest in Benham, Indiana on October 10, 1953. She worked for Lazarus department store in Indianapolis for many years, until she retired in 1985. Bonnie enjoyed caring for her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed time spent sewing, quilting, and crocheting priceless keepsakes. Her hobbies also included reading, gardening, and listening to gospel music. Her family will cherish the memories of her delicious baking. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Jim Priest of Greenfield; son, Mike Priest (Cindy) of Greenfield; daughters, Raena Edwards and Candy Speas (Junior) both of Greenfield; grandchildren; Lydia Morris (Ryan), James Priest (Tiffany), Katherine Riley (Stephan), Bryce Filson (Sarah), Katelyn Edwards, Braydon Edwards, and Laura Holland (Robert); step-grandchildren, Ginger Haley (David) and Nick Richards (Ileana); fourteen great-grandchildren; and her caregivers, Kim Raffaelli and Mabel Lasley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Garnett Wolf, and grandson, Michael Ryan Butler. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary and Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m., also at the mortuary. James Matthew Priest will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
