GREENFIELD – Amanda Carrie (Dowden) Smith, age 47, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022. She was born in Greenfield on January 24, 1975 to Steven Dowden and Kitty (Hudson) Weller. She was a 1993 graduate of Greenfield-Central High School. Amanda married Tommy Smith on June 13, 1995 in Greenfield. She worked for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Utilization Management Representative Team Leader for over 8 years. She enjoyed shopping, going fishing and being outdoors. Amanda is survived by her husband, Tommy Smith of Greenfield; children, Jordan Edward Smith and Katelynn Nicole Smith both of Greenfield; mother, Kitty Weller of Hillcrest, FL; mother-in-law, Juanita Smith of Greenfield; and sister-in-law, April Dashler (Josh) of Greenfield. She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Dowden; and sister-in-law, Vonda Smith Young. A Celebration of Amanda’s Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
