With Deepest Sympathy

Steve was a great man, and loved by many. He helped so many people, and that includes me. He was so positive and enthusiastic, it was almost overwelming at times. He gained much strength from his family. He was very much in love with his wife and very proud of his children. He will be deeply missed. I just wanted to let you know that there are many of us out here grieving with you and praying for you. I was in the j.i.p program, and cannot begin to express the positive power he helped bring to my life. May God grant you peace and comfort in this difficult time. Your Brother in Christ, Bradley Pickett

Stephen T. Dyer

by: rduncan, 02/19/08

I am very saddened by the loss of one of the best friends a person could ever have. I went to High School with Steve and even though several years would pass between us seeing each other he was always in my thoughts. The last time I got to see him was at a Fish Fry in Wanamaker. He was standing in line and I just snuck up beside him and stood there for a minute, then whispered "My Little Buddy". He turned around and like always grabbed me and gave me the biggest hug and kiss. Just like he always did whenever I would see him. He hugged me several more times before he left and told me he loved me.

Steve had been handed alot of obstacles to get through in his life and he always seemed to manage and continued to help everyone else along the way. I guess God had bigger and better things  for him to do.

I love you, Steve and I just hope you are finally at peace,

Your life long friend,

Ruthie Duncan

We loved Stephen T.

by: JGorman, 02/19/08

Stephen, Robert & Jon,

We loved your Dad so much. He was so instrumental in our lives, in helping us to deal with our own personal difficulties and we are saddened by his death, but at the same time, we rejoice in the end of his pain and suffering, knowing he is with His Savior and Lord. Our lives are enriched because of him and his work for God's Kingdom.

Our hearts & prayers are with you,

John & Becky Gorman

My Teacher

by: tmkidd, 02/18/08

Steve is one of those rare people that God puts into your life because He knows that you will walk away learning something from them. Everytime I saw Steve, which unfortunately was usually in jail, I learned something from him. He along with a select few, helped me to get, stay and succeed happily in my now 21 months of sobriety. I will miss him greatly.

Sincerely,

Teresa M Kidd

My heart sank in hearing about Steve. He was one of the most kind hearted and caring men I have ever known. He touched so many lives, including mine and my fiancée. Always a smile for you , a kind word, a hug. He will be missed by ALL that knew him. May GOD wrap his loving arms around all of the family and friends of Steve.

You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time.  Steve was a wonderful man, and we will miss him.  How awesome for him that he is with the Lord, but how sad for us to not have him in our lives.  Treasure your memories.
