GREENFIELD – Stephen L. Castle, age 61, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.  Born on January 2, 1947 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Jack Castle and Betty Marie Roberts.  Mr. Castle worked as the night manager at the Adams Mark Hotel and loved IU basketball.  Surviving him are his brothers, Michael Roberts, Jack Castle of Virginia, and David Castle of Virginia; sisters, Debbie Roberts of Greenfield and Sandy Castle of Virginia.  Other survivors include his aunts, Ruth Bailey and Martha McPherson, and many cousins.  Preceding him in death were his father; mother; stepfather, Clifford Roberts; and grandparents, Annie and Fay Trees and Milo and Pearl Sears.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Crane officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6415 Castleway West Dr., Suite 114, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46250.  Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Friends may sign the on-line guestbook at www.erleweinmortuary.com or email condolences to sympathy@erleweinmortuary.com.
