GREENFIELD – Robert J. “Bob” Moore, age 77, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at St. Vincent Heart Hospital in Carmel.  Born on March 4, 1932 in Connersville, Indiana, he was the son of George and Dorothy Moore.  Bob graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis in 1950.  He had served in the U/S/ Army during the Korean War.  He married Charlotte M. (Jordan) Moore on July 27, 1955 in Indianapolis. 

 

Bob was a salesman in the electrical industry, having worked for Kulwin Electric for 30 years and Allied Electric for 3 years.  He was an avid golfer, who loved going to the movies and horse races.  His memberships included the Moose Lodge #987, the Elks Lodge #1720, and Faith United Methodist Church, all in Greenfield.  He enjoyed “Entertainment on the Plaza” during the summer and Riley Days in the fall.

 

Surviving him are his son and daughter-in-law, Rob J. and Kathy Moore, of North Vernon, Indiana; sister, Margaret Ann Moore, of Indianapolis; and his very close friend, Shirley Harter, of Greenfield.  Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Charlotte, on January 1, 2004.

 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 27, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.  Reverend Gary E. Dolph will officiate.  Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
