Greenfield – Ralph E. Davis, age 80, died April 3, 2009. He was born on March 13, 1929, in Monticello, KY. Ralph was the son of Barney F. Davis and Mae Bates Davis. Ralph was a Master Sergeant in the Army in the Korea War. He was married to Virginia Weatherly Davis of Greenfield, IN for over 50 years.
He worked for Ford Motor Company for over 30 years before retiring in 1988. Mr. Davis was a member of the NRA. He loved fishing, camping and Bluegrass music.
Surviving him is his wife, Virginia Davis, of Greenfield, IN. Son, Alan K. Davis of New Palestine, IN. Brothers; Paul (Stella) Davis, of Richmond, IN and Buster (Kathy) Davis, of Rushville, IN. Grandchildren; Shane Davis, Kassie Davis, Sammy and Bambi Davis. Also, several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; Barney and Mae Davis. Sister, Pauline Bertrem. Brothers; Gene, Ellis and Billy Davis.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, from 4pm until 8pm at Erlewein Mortuary Greenfield Chapel. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 8, at 11am at Erlewein Mortuary Greenfield. Burial will be at Glen Haven Cemetery in Boston, IN.
