GREENFIELD – Michael E. McDaniel, age 75, died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital.  Born on January 3, 1934 in Rushville, IN, he was the son of John William McDaniel and Nora Marie (McCoy) McDaniel.  He married Bonnie (Reeves) McDaniel on November 26, 1953 in Rushville. 

Mr. McDaniel worked for International Harvester as a computer programmer for 30 years before retiring in 1983.  Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the F.O.P., the American Legion, and the Eagles. 

Surviving him is his spouse, Bonnie McDaniel of Greenfield; daughters, Debbie (Steve) Bailey, and Terri (Todd) Woodbury, both of Knightstown; sibling, Jerry (Patricia) McDaniel of Milroy; grandchildren, Shannon, Shane, Shari, and Josh; great-grandchildren, Blake, Brandon, Maddi, Logan, Jenna, Ellie, and Sydney Rose.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and family.  Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Jackie McDaniel; brother, Tom McDaniel, and grandson, Daniel Bennett. 

Funeral services will be on Friday, May 22, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary with viewing two hours prior to the service.  Reverend John Vance will be officiating.
