 GREENFIELD– Marshall Brindley, age 85, died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield.  Born on June 4, 1922, in Addison, Alabama, he was the son of Stephen and Ardelia (Brown) Brindley. He married Lois Christine (McVay) Brindley on April 9, 1949.

He worked for Standard Food Stores as a heating and air service technician.  Mr. Brindley was a former member of  the American Legion of Greenfield and the Greenfield VFW; he was also a member of the NRA.  Mr. Brindley served in the Army in Normandy during WW II. 

Surviving him are his wife, Lois (McVay) Brindley of Greenfield; daughters, Joyce Lavon Mardis (Doyle) and Kathy Diana Hatcher (Stan), both of Greenfield and Charlotte Eakin (Kevin) of Carthage, Indiana; grandchildren, Adrian, Clayton, Damon, Amy, Lais, Carmen, Heather, Basil, and Danette; and sixteen great-grandchildren.  Preceding him in death were his parents, Stephen and Ardelia Brindley; sisters, Avo Sudduth and Vercie Pierson; and brothers, Delmar Brindley, Ernest Brindley, Elisha Brindley, Owen Brindley, and Infant Baby Boy Brindley. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the mortuary.  Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Carthage.
