GREENFIELD– Mark W. Boothby, age 56, passed away on March 30, 2009 at his home in Greenfield.  Born on April 13, 1952, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Robert L. Boothby and Margaret Joanne (Abney) Hinton.  Mark attended IUPUI and worked as a construction worker for many years.  He loved scuba diving and oceanography and had an interest in the history of the Titanic.

Surviving him are his partner, Theresa Kopinski of Indianapolis; mother, Margaret Joanne Hinton; step-father, Merrill G. Hinton; brother, John M. Boothby of Covington, Georgia; sister, Nikki (John) Mattingly of Greenfield; four nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Monday April 6, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with memorial calling from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Pastor Hubert Nolan will be officiating and inurnment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
