Greenfield – Mabel J. (Lichtenberg) Limbach, age 89, died June 3, 2009 in Greenfield.  Born on February 19, 1920 in Marion County, she was the daughter of John and Matilda (Haus) Lichtenberg.  She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1938. She married Edward “Pop” Limbach on September 12, 1942. 

Mrs. Limbach was a homemaker.  She attended Bethel Baptist Church and was a member of a home economics club.  Mabel loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed cooking.

Surviving her are her daughters, Diana Rodgers and Lesley Fortner, both of Greenfield; son, Eddie “Buddy”LeMaster of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Lisa Pedersen, Debra (Jeff) McLary, Eddie (Jane) Rodgers, JD (Dawn) Fortner, Brenda (Wayne) Mocas; several great-grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter.  Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; daughter, Ginger LeMaster; son in law, Harold Rodgers; sister, Lucy Hartman; grandson, Willie LeMaster; and two great-grandchildren, Connor Thomas Rodgers and infant McLary. 

Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Reverend Randall Parker will be officiating.  Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.

Nanny please give daddy a big hug and kiss for me and Heather. We will miss and love you always. Take care of Pop and Uncle Harold for us and we will take care of Eddie (bubby) for you. I love you bunches !
