GREENFIELD– Lorena V. Henderson, age 78, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at Wildwood Health Care in Indianapolis.  Born on August 25, 1929 in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Reverend Montague and Virginia (Huffman) Nester.  Mrs. Henderson graduated from White Sulfur Springs High School and attended two years of nurse’s training at Greenbriar Valley Hospital.  She married William R. Henderson on March 3, 1951, and worked as a homemaker.  She was a member of the Thick and Thin Homemaking Club and was active in the PTA, Scouting, and Little League. 

Surviving her are her husband, William R. Henderson of Greenfield; several nieces and nephews; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers; six sisters; and sons, Darrell W. and Michael R. Henderson.  Visitation will be on Saturday, July 5, from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the mortuary.  Pastor Russell Jarvis will be officiating.  Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
