Greenfield – Lee C. “Bird” Braun, age 70, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at his home after an extended illness.  He was born on December 21, 1938 in Indianapolis to Walter X. and Nellie Braun. 

He is survived by his wife, Madeline D.P. Braun; sons, Edward (Eddie) Braun of Los Angeles, CA, Stanley Holcomb of Leander, TX; daughters, Lisa and Tricia Braun, both of Los Angeles, CA; brother, William (Lorene) Braun of Greenfield; sisters, Evelyn Braun of Greenfield, Gladys Newhouse of Indianapolis, Martha “Vera” Hartman of Brandon, FL, Ella Reniham of Greenfield; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Theodore and Raymond Braun, and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will miss him dearly. 

Funeral will be Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with viewing two hours prior to the service.  Burial will be on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
