Fortville – Henrietta Wiley, age 83, died March 31, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born on July 10, 1925 in Pendleton, Indiana, she was the daughter of Henry Bond and Mary (Brantlinger) Bond Dowden. She married Fred E. Wiley on September 4, 1942 in Covington, Kentucky.
She worked for Pleasant Acres Nursing Home for ten years as a nurses’ aide before her retirement. Mrs. Wiley was a member of VFW 6904 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving her is her son, Kenneth R. (Betty) Wiley of Fortville; daughter, Penny Kingery (Marc Ralston) of Wilkinson, six grandchildren, Michelle (Paul) Owens of Fortville, Stephanie Wiley of Fortville, Amber Wiley of Fortville, Wendy (Cary) Stidham of Knightstown, Jason (Jill) Kingery of Indianapolis, and Ashleah Kingery of Anderson, eleven great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and two sisters Dorothy Wilson of Pendleton and Genevieve Bennett of Pendleton. Preceding her in death were her husband, Fred E. Wiley, her parents, sister Myrtle Felton, and brothers Walter and Bud Dowden.
Graveside services will be on Friday, April 3, at 1:00pm at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville. Erlewein Mortuaries Fortville, is handling arrangements.

I am sorry to hear about Henrietta. I only found out late last night and wish I had known sooner so that I could pay my respects. I was unfortunately at Community North with my Dad.
