Dear Ballenger Family;

My brother Jack informed me yesterday that Gordon had passed away.  He and I worked for him for a few summers at the Finance Center while on summer break from college.  Last week in fact we were discussing those days in the late 1970's and wondered about Gordon might be doing.

We both remember him fondly and know that over  the years he had supervised numerous individuals who were earning money to  pay for college.  All  these people are now working and raising their families all over the country.

All the best to you and the extended Ballanger family.

Sincerely;

Edward W. Quinlan

Dear Family Members of Gordon,

My deepest condolences for your loss.  I just saw the obituary late this evening and wish I could have attended the showing.  My brother and I worked with Gordon for five years during the summer months while going to college at Ball State from 1977 to 1982.  He was the best boss ever!  That is where I learned how to play solitaire which Gordon was a pro at!  He was always playing cards and smoking his "More" slim brown cigaretes.  Whenever we got in trouble with the other supervisors (which happened all the time ) Gordon would always cover for us .  I have so many great memories of him and working there in the maintenance department.  The stories I could tell...   My brother Ed and I talk about Gordon all the time and recently wondered how he was doing.  He will truely be missed !!!

All the best going forward!

Jack Quinlan
