GREENFIELD – Doris (Green) Doyle, age 84, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in Greenfield.  Born on June 10, 1924, she was the daughter of Leroy Green and Lillian (Teti) Green.  She married Master Sergeant John Demand Doyle on November 14, 1944 and worked as a homemaker for many years. 

After her husband passed away, Doris moved to Indiana then to New Jersey in 1980 where she became the Deacon at the Presbyterian Church in Lakehurst, New Jersey.  Doris had recently moved back to Greenfield due to illness.

Surviving her are her son, John Demand Doyle, Jr. of Greenfield; daughters, Reba A. Shepherd of Scottsdale, AZ and Deborah A. Meringer of Greenfield; six granddaughters; four grandsons; six great-granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.  Preceding her in death was her husband. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 9, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Philadelphia and Pastor Rick Francis will officiate.  Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.erleweinmortuary.com or e-mail condolences to sympathy@erleweinmortuary.com.
