GREENFIELD– Carylon Sandlin, age 53, died on February 24, 2009, at her home in Greenfield.  Born on February 6, 1956, she was the daughter of Irvin and Vesta (Bruner) Sandlin.  She graduated from Greenfield Central High School and went on to receive her Associates degree from Ivy Tech in Indianapolis.  Carylon worked at Pleasant View Lodge as an LPN for ten years.  She loved to write poetry, draw, crochet, and make dolls. 

Surviving her are her children, Marlisa (Kevin Swinehart) Spiker, Rex (Monica) Spiker, Nygah Sandlin, and Neamiah Sandlin, all of Greenfield; father, Irvin Sandlin of Greenfield; sisters, Brenda (Roger) Sandlin of Greenfield and Linda (Kevin) Arrowood; grandchildren, Emily, Nathan, Brendan, Kaitlyn, Ethan Z., Ivan, Ian, and Ethan W.; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.   Preceding her in death were her mother and sister, Peggy Ritchie.

Visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2009, from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the mortuary.  Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
