GREENFIELD– Barbara “Joyce” Dean, age 65, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Hancock Regional Hospital.  Born on December 10, 1942, in Smithville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Taylor and Dola (West) Cope.  She married Robert Darrell (Dizzy) Dean on June 29, 1962 in Indianapolis and worked as a homemaker for many years.  During the summer months, Joyce attended the East Rawles Church of God in Indianapolis, and in the winter she attended the Tuscon, AZ, Church of God of Prophecy. She was active in the ladies ministry and all activities in both churches.  Joyce also loved to cook and travel.  Surviving her are her husband, Darrell “Dizzy” Dean of Greenfield; siblings, Opal (Dean) Pirtle of Greenfield, Aaron (Joyce) Cope of McMinnville, TN, Robbie (Billy) Robinson of Lebanon, TN, Nina (Jimmy) Gentry of Indianapolis, and Linda (Edward) Calvert of Greenfield; eight nieces, five nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews; and various other family members and friends.  Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Arbis Cope; and sisters, Elvie Reeder and Ruby Cope.  Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary with Pastor Scott Bambrough and Pastor Ron Polly officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.  Friends may sign the on-line guestbook at www.erleweinmortuary.com or email condolences to sympathy@erleweinmortuary.com.
