New Palestine– Stephen T. Dyer, age 56, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at his home in New Palestine.  Born on May 1, 1951, he was the son of Richard Dyer and Francis (Weaver) Tam.  Mr. Dyer worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor and ran the Jail Intervention Program for Hancock County.  He was also an ordained minister and performed many weddings.  Mr. Dyer was a member of Park Chapel Christian Church and the NRA.  Surviving him are his sons, Stephen Dyer, Bob Dyer, and Jon Dyer, all of New Palestine; mother, Frances Tam of Indianapolis; and sisters, Cheryl Richey of Indianapolis, Terri Dobbins of Indianapolis, and Sharon Daniels of Florida.  Preceding him in death were his father, Richard Dyer; brother, Jimmy Dyer; and son, Patrick Dyer.  A Memorial Service for Mr. Dyer will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Steve Dyer Memorial Fund, c/o Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 W.
