NEW PALESTINE-Wanda R. Marcum, age 74, died Friday, February 22, 2008 at her home in New Palestine.  Born on January 22, 1934 in Clinton County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ted and Eulas Upchurch.  She graduated from Clinton County High School and married Arnold Ray Marcum on September 1, 1956.  Wanda worked at Western Electric in Indianapolis form thirty years and was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Indianapolis for 51 years.  Surviving her are her husband, Arnold Ray of New Palestine; son, Edward (Becky) Marcum of New Palestine; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Michelle; brother, Everett “Duce” Upchurch of New Castle; and sister, Ethel Arthur of New Castle.  Preceding her in death were her parents, Ted and Eulas Upchurch; sisters, Edna Anderson and Grace Baker; and brothers, Reverend Arthur Upchurch, Roy Upchurch, Jimmie Upchurch, Gordon Upchurch, and Randy Upchurch. Visitation will be Sunday, February 24, 2008, from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield  Funeral services will be on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary with Pastor Peter Bosworth officiating.  Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Abundant Life Church, 7606 E. 82^nd St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46256.  Friends may sign the on-line guestbook at www.erleweinmortuary.com or email condolences to sympathy@erleweinmortuary.com.
