Michelle “Shelly” Sharp, age 28, lost her long courageous battle with leukemia on February 9, 2008, at Indiana University Hospital.  Shelly was born June 29, 1979 to Larry and Ann (Dwyer) Sharp.  Shelly graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and Indiana University.  Shelly was currently working toward a Masters in Education degree from Marian College.  She was student teaching at Holy Spirit Catholic School in Indianapolis and had worked at Butler University in Media Relations.  Shelly is survived by her parents; two brothers, Jeffrey Sharp and Matthew Sharp, both of Indianapolis; and her grandmother, Renee Sharp of Oaklandon.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ralph Sharp and grandparents, Edmund and Frances Dwyer.  Shelly was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Greenfield.  Shelly was an example of courage to many with her positive outlook despite numerous challenges over the last four years.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 12, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Services will be on Wednesday, February 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions can be made to The Leukemia Society, Relay for Life, or your charity of choice.  Friends may sign the on-line guestbook at www.erleweinmortuary.com or email condolences to sympathy@erleweinmortuary.com.
