Mary Jane (Kent) Klaeffling, 84, of Greenfield, passed away on October 26, 2008 at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.  She was born on November 16, 1923, in Elnora, Indiana.  Mary Jane was the daughter of Clyde and Ella (Benham) Kent.  She graduated from the Jordan Conservatory of Music/Butler University and went on to teach music at Indianapolis public schools.  She later went on to work at Meridian Mutual Insurance Company and at Hancock Memorial Hospital.  Mary Jane was a member of Bradley United Methodist Church in Greenfield.  She was married to Hans J. Klaeffling, who survives.  She is also survived by a brother, Ned B. Kent of Sandborn; a sister, Judy A. Shake of Sandborn; four nieces, Billye Ruth (Allen) White, Jamey (Gary) Henderson, Linda Carpenter, and Barbara (Vaughn) Huey; nine nephews, Rodney (Lucy) Kent, Dale (Debbie) Kent, David (Carlene) Kent, Mark (Marilyn) Kent, Warren (Susan) Shake, and Roger (Cleta) Shake.  Private memorial services will be held at the Bradley United Methodist Church in Greenfield.  Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.erleweinmortuary.com or e-mail condolences to sympathy@erleweinmortuary.com.
