MCCORDSVILLE– George Delbert “G.D.” Fisher, age 81, died Sunday, June 29, 2008 at his residence in McCordsville.  Born on September 26, 1926 in Warren County, Tennessee, he was the son of Lester and Maggie (Gibson) Fisher.  He married Nellie Pierce on January 14, 1950, and worked at Allisons Transmission as a machinist for thirty years before retiring in 1982.  Mr. Fisher was also a member of UAW #933.  Surviving him are his wife, Nellie Fisher of McCordsville; children, Sheila (Dwight) Wesley of Fortville and Michael (Chris) Fisher of Anderson; grandchildren, Bryan, Travis, Brandon, and Nathan; and great-grandchildren, B.J., Asia, and Travis Michael Dale.  Preceding him in death were his parents.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt.
