INDIANAPOLIS – A. Ruth (Benge) Roberts Lucas, age 82, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Indiana Heart Hospital.  Born on March 20, 1926 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of George and Mary (Johnston) Benge.  She married Jack O. Roberts.  Mrs. Lucas was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.  She was a member of Christian Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis for more than 50 years. 

Survivors include her children, Judy Green of Indianapolis, Buster (Connie) Roberts of Indianapolis, David (Nancy) Roberts of Plainfield, Donna Roberts of Indianapolis, and John (Nancy) Roberts of Greenfield; grandchildren, Bill, Brian, Lynn, Chad, Nikki, Heather, and Courtney; and great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Kaitlyn, Christopher, Ethan, and Clayton.  Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jack O. Roberts; son, Glen Roberts; siblings, Sam, John, Ricie, Earl, Glen, Margaret, and Laura; and great-grandchildren, Summer and Jordan. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 27, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield, (317)467-4918.  Funeral services will be on Friday, March 28, at 1:00 p.m. at Christian Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis with calling one hour prior to the service. Brother Kent Jordan will officiate.  Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
